I’m Asim, an architect and computational designer with a passion for integrating design, technology, and research to create intelligent and innovative built environments.
With a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Architecture, specializing in Advanced Architectural Design, my work is grounded in both academic rigor and real-world application.
My journey in architecture began with a fascination for systems, geometry, and how design can evolve through data and computation. Over time, I’ve developed a design approach that blends analytical thinking with creative expression, utilizing tools like Grasshopper, Rhino, and environmental simulation plugins to solve complex spatial challenges.
In 2024, I founded Archicodes, a studio focused on merging traditional architectural practices with cutting-edge digital methodologies. From modular mobile health clinics and diagnostic centers to futuristic educational institutions and parametric prototypes, every project I undertake is a fusion of technical precision and design experimentation.
Alongside my practice, I am dedicated to education and knowledge-sharing. I lead workshops, certificate programs, and training sessions in computational design, helping architecture students and professionals build expertise in Grasshopper and parametric thinking. My aim is to cultivate a mindset that is adaptive, systems-oriented, and future-conscious.
My research interests include performative building skins, parametric systems, environmental responsiveness, and multi-criteria optimization.
I believe architecture should not only look beautiful but also function intelligently, responding to climate, use, and time. I continue to push the boundaries of digital design through speculative projects and ongoing research.
At the heart of my practice is the belief that architecture must be responsive to people, place, and potential. With computation as a key tool, I strive to create solutions that are both visually engaging and deeply efficient.
Other than this, I love rock climbing and travelling through scenic locations of the world.
